Negative autoclaves
As already mentioned in the case of oil transformers, in the core drying and tank filling processes, negative autoclaves are used where absolute pressures lower than 1 mbar are reached.
The same technology is also used in the composite materials sector whose production processes require both heat and vacuum.
Similarly to what happens with ovens, autoclaves are designed and built according to specifications related to the particular process to be implemented and are equipped with customized accessories for loading/unloading the components to be treated.

As for the geometric characteristics, the vacuum group, i.e. the set of necessary devices for the extraction of air from the autoclave, different configurations are possible.
This refers to pumping technology (vane pump, dry, use or not of additional booster) as well as to the use of a separator filter for water and oil present in the gaseous phase depending on the type of internal atmosphere to be extracted.

Negative autoclave for the treatment of small components.
Another aspect is represented by the possibility of heating the inside of the autoclave in order to carry out drying cycles. This occurs through the use of tube bundles with diathermic oil heated by an external boiler that can be powered by either gas or electricity.
